Drug-related cases have increased in the North this year, following intensified operations by police officers.

During the visit to the North, Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu commended the officers after being briefed on the achievements of the operations over the first two months of the year.

Tudravu stressed the crucial role of collaboration in enhancing service delivery across all areas of policing.

He reassured the Northern Command group that they have the full backing of the Headquarters division in tackling the challenges encountered while serving remote areas.

The Commissioner further says that they must always strive for better and meet the expectations of the communities they serve.

While responding to our questions police say they will release the statistics once the data has been complied.
