The Maori All Blacks will return to rugby this December when they take on the Moana Pasifika in Hamilton.
The Moana Pasifika will include current and former international players and a number of players eligible for international Pasifika teams.
The squad will be announced later this month.
They will be coached by former All Blacks captain Tana Umaga.
This will also be the Maori All Blacks first match first since beating Fiji 26-17 in Rotorua last year.
Moana Pasifika Patron Sir Bryan Williams says this is a big step towards their desire to have a Pasifika team in Super Rugby and to provide a pathway for players to progress through to the national teams of Fiji, Samoa and Tonga.
