Miss National Fire Authority Rhyelle Aisea has won Talent Night at Hibiscus Festival 2025 with her life-saving skills and Rotuman dance moves.
Aisea also had the crowd hooting as she brought firefighters on stage to also shake a leg.
While speaking to fijivillage News, Aisea says she spent a week preparing for the performance where she spent a few days with the NFA paramedics unit, and learning to use the fire extinguisher and hose.
She says the officers were patient with her as she did not know anything about firefighting except what she saw from her father, who is a fleet officer.
She has also paid tribute to the female firefighters.
Aisea, who is a first year University of the South Pacific student, says she does not know what she will do with her $500 prize money but it will go towards an NFA initiative.
Tonight was also Indian night, with the Queen contestants dressed in their finest traditional Indian attire.
There were also performances by Shobna Chanel and Masti Dance Groups.
Tomorrow is iTaukei Night and the final public judging.
