People can expect something different at this year’s Miss Hibiscus Festival as it will be moving away from the traditional 'Question and Answer' format that has been televised for the past 16 years.

The Hibiscus Standing Committee says this event will replace the traditional public judging events that have been a staple of the festival for years.

Hibiscus Standing Committee Chairperson Opetaia Ravai says the Presentation Show will highlight our strong Fijian culture while giving the contestants an opportunity to showcase their poise and public speaking abilities in a refined and elegant setting.

He says this is not just a beauty pageant; it's a celebration of our heritage and the grace of our contestants.

The Committee says produced by the renowned Miss Hibiscus Creative Director, Andhy Blake, the Presentation Show will bring a touch of international flair to the festival.

The Committee says Blake, who brings his extensive experience from the Miss World Organisation, promises a production incorporating the elegance and grandeur of global pageantry into the Miss Hibiscus platform.

Blake says this show will be a stunning production that elevates the pageant to new heights.

The Committee says the Presentation Show will feature 10 talented contestants who will captivate the audience with grace and eloquence.

They say unlike previous years, the focus will be on a polished and sophisticated presentation that reflects the contestants' dedication and the festival's commitment to cultural enrichment.

The Presentation Show is on September 4th at the Suva Civic Centre.

Tickets for this exclusive event are priced at $10 and will go on sale this Friday at Fiji Showcase, organised by Communications Fiji Limited.

With only 450 tickets available, they are expected to sell out quickly.
