It was a memorable day for the villages of Nabouwalu, Vuya, Navave, Raviravi and Waitovure village in the province of Bua when the Minister for Public Works and Transport, Ro Filipe Tuisawau commissioned the new Nabouwalu Power House earlier this week.

The project was implemented by the Bua Provincial Council and the iTaukei Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

The project will help mothers with their household chores, assist students with their homework at night, and provide electricity to the Nabouwalu Hospital and the upgrading plan of Nabouwalu Town.

Village members of Bua were seen in numbers as they witness the opening of the new Power House and the effort provided by the Bua Provincial Council to fulfilling the dreams of the people of Bua.

Electricity is now supplied to the people of Nabouwalu and will be reaching other villages by next week.

Ro Tuisawau was accompanied by the Assistant Minister for iTaukei Affairs, Ratu Isikeli Tuiwailevu and was accorded a traditional ceremony by the Turaga na Tui Vuya and the village men of Vuya before the opening ceremony was held.
