Collective efforts were taken by the Ministry of Health and Medical Services and Westpac staff from 3 different departments who were involved in a clean up campaign at the St. Giles Hospital.

The Ministry says the remarkable initiative by the Westpac staff unfolded to make a meaningful impact in the community through their corporate responsibility which is deeply embedded in their ogranisation culture.

Westpac reflected its commitment towards mental health and well-being, particularly with rising societal stress.

They partnered with several esteemed corporate organizations who generously donated towards the cause which enabled them to undertake a range of tasks, including water blasting and painting.

Westpac says despite the challenging weather conditions that Suva has experienced over the past few weeks, a team of 40 volunteers did not step back from this initative.

The purpose was to enhance the environment and support the specific needs of the hospital by making a tangible difference and building stronger and resilient communities.
