50 people are expected to be employed when the McDonald’s Fiji opens their branch in Nakasi by December this year.

McDonald’s Fiji Managing Director, Marc McElrath says the restaurant will have the latest design of global standard with the latest playland.

He says the total investment for Nakasi will be around $7.5 million and this will be the fifth McDonald’s restaurant in Fiji, bringing total restaurant investments for Vuvale restaurants to over $40 million.

McElrath says Nakasi is part of McDonald’s expansion plan and fits in with their development program to cover the whole of Fiji.

He adds this is their 25th year of operations in Fiji and they are working on another 3 outlets around Fiji in the next 2 years.
