42-year-old, Matelita Bale is grateful that she brought her 4-month-old son, Apisalome Jack, to the Hibiscus Festival 2025 Baby Show to participate, where they won first prize in Category One for babies aged two to five months.

Speaking to fijivillage News, Bale says she was shocked when her baby won first prize, as they never expected it.

She says that her plan was simply to give it a try and allow her son to be exposed to such a competition.

The 42-year-old is also urging parents to look after their children well and give them the care they deserve.

Miss Yue Lai Hotel, Shyna Lata says that being part of the show highlighted the importance of family support in bringing their children to take part.

Lata also urged parents to look after their children well, emphasizing that they are a gift from God.
