The Marriott International team hosted customers and sponsors at the Fiji Museum, treating them to some of their signature foods, wine, and desserts direct from their award winning restaurants for their Global Customer Appreciation Week.

Marriott International Area General Manager and Vice President Pacific Islands, Neeraj Chadha says they will always continue to grow and nurture local talent.

Chadha says an example of this is their award winning culinary team at Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort winning international challenges within ANZP and APEC.

He says notably, Tatavu Grill and Bar at the Sheraton won Best Hotel Restaurant in Fiji 2025 in the World Culinary Awards for the second consecutive year.

The Area General Manager says their local chefs under the able leadership of Executive Chef Rakesh Kumar clinched a number of titles this year: Gold at the 2025 Queens Restaurant Challenge which is endorsed by the Australian Culinary Federation, Global Pacific Rim semi finals and this week’s National Chefs Challenge in Namaka.

He says currently Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort and Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay are working towards silver certification with Earth Check.

Chadha says in 2026 they are looking to enhance guest experiences which include: Sheraton Denarau Villas renovation, Sheraton Tokoriki jetty, Sheraton Fiji adult wing and pool, The Westin Fiji Golf Resort and Spa renovation as well as the first luxury brand resort opening in 2030 for The Ritz Carlton.
