Marist Brothers High School made a clean sweep in the junior boys shot put.
Sosefo Fonorito won the gold medal with a throw of 13.22 metres, Christian Oakley won silver and Salestino Mainakavika settled for bronze.
Fonorito dedicated the win to his parents.
He is coached by his father Sosefo Senior who says it is really tough coaching his son, as the expectations are really high from the school as a whole.
Fonorito Senior also says he is very thankful that his son fought a good fight and also thanks the other two Marist boys, because it was anybody’s game but it just came down to who wanted it more.
