It was a memorable day for the students of Marist Brothers High School and the Marist family today as they witnessed the unveiling of the new name for their iconic Lambert Hall to Brother Lambert Hall.

The hall was named after the former Principal of the school, Brother Chanel Lambert.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Marist Brothers Class of 1959, Dr Rajat Gyaneshwar, reminded the students of the teachings and learnings they got from Brother Lambert.

He says Brother Lambert taught him the five principles of religion, even though he was not a Christian studying in Marist Brothers High School in 1959, and those principles have been with him throughout these years.

He also stressed the importance of having a humble behaviour as Brother Lambert did not see his high authority as a means to belittle someone.

The name change is also a thanksgiving to the late Iqbal Jannif, who was part of the Marist Brothers Class of 1959, that came up and funded the idea of the new name.
