In a pre-season match this afternoon, last year’s Vodafone Super Deans Under-17 finalists, Marist Brothers High School, played against champions Ratu Kadavulevu School and edged them 19-15 at Flagstaff.
The Marist brigade fought hard and was able to contain the numerous attacks from the boys from Lodoni and proved that defense wins games.
RKS defeated Marist in last year’s U 17 final in a thrilling 35-34 match.
This year, both teams look strong and are set for another exciting U18 Deans competition, with Marist hoping for redemption.
The Deans competition is expected to start in June.
