President Neumi Vakadewabuka and General Secretary Faizal Khan

The Marist Old Boys Association is gearing up for its annual Bazaar this weekend, promising a family-friendly day filled with entertainment, food, sports, and networking.

President Neumi Vakadewabuka told fijivillage News that this year’s event aims to bring together not just old scholars, but families, teachers, and supporters of the school both from Fiji and overseas.

He says it’s going to be a family-centric event and a chance for all who have been part of the Marist journey to reconnect and celebrate.

General Secretary Faizal Khan says the current executive team is also working on establishing a business hub at the association's secretariat.

Khan says the day will feature performances from local artists, and MOB Apakuki Nalawa and his band, Inside Out, with sports events for Old Boys, a rugby clinic by the Marist Rugby Club, and a food fair offering a diverse culinary experience.

A special business information centre will also be set up, featuring booths from banks, real estate firms, government ministries, and health agencies.

He says as part of their broader project, the association is planning to develop an events centre and charity work will also continue, including support for the St Marcellin Champagnat Institute in Vatuwaqa.

The event kicks off with a mass at Brother Lambert Hall at 7pm tomorrow, followed by the main Bazaar on Saturday from 10am.
