Men’s division starts today

Police Blue, Seahawks, Striders and Army Women

Defending champions Army Women are through to the quarter-finals of the 47th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s after putting on a dominating performance on Day 1 and recording 3 convincing wins in their pool games.

They began their campaign thumping FPTL Nasinu 31-0 in their first pool match, then they demolished USP Women 59-0 and defeated Police 26-0 in their final pool match last night.

The side has the services of Fijiana 7s reps such as captain Rusila Nagasau, Raijieli Daveua, Reapi Uluinasau, Lavena Cavuru and Ana Naimasi.

In the women’s quarter-finals, Army Women will face Middle Women Steelers at 8am, Police Women will meet Striders at 8.17am, Seahawks 1 will take on Tagimoucia Ranadi at 8.34am and Seahawks 2 will play Fire Women at 8.51am.

The women’s quarter-finals will be held tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Meanwhile, the men’s competition starts today with Vomo Island taking on Veiqaravi Nadroga Navosa 1 and ANCF Waidina facing Lavena Reds at 7.45am.

The Youth quarter-finals will be held this afternoon.

Vunidawa Reds will face Waitabu at 4.35pm, Seekadah Babas will play Ravuka Sharks at 4.53pm, defending youth champion Dominion Brothers will take on Ralagi Youth at 5.09pm and Natabua Beez will face RKS Old Boys at 5.29pm.
