All the spots for the Men’s Competition, and the U18 to U21 competitions are fully booked for the 48th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s.

While officiating at the launch of their unique kit in collaboration with Bondwell Fiji today, Marist Rugby Club President Lawrence Tikaram said the only available spots are in the Main Women's Competition with 5 spots and U18 women's 3 spots. He says that he is overwhelmed with the growth of grassroots rugby in Fiji and this year being an Olympic year makes this year's Marist 7s more exciting.

Tikaram reiterates that the tournament is the mecca of sevens in Fiji and around the world, and says he was getting calls from England, America, New Zealand, and Australia from teams wanting to register for this year's tournament.

Teams that will take part in the U18 to U21 category this year year include Dominion Brothers, Noikoro Babas, Jet Set Electrical Breeze, Korolevu Brothers, Nuku Rugby, Tubarua Highlanders, AJ Pallets Ba River, Saint John Lomary, Village Boys, EMS Tabadamu Young Ruggers, Ratu Filise, Coral Coasters Rugby, Aqua Pro Savuqali Marines, Kingdom Brothers Rugby, Nabua Broncos, Tovolea Rugby and Aloha Taveuni.
