Marama runs cleaning business to support her children despite challenges

Despite the challenges in my life, I did not give up on doing something that would make a difference in my children's lives.

These were the words of Anaseini Marama, who runs a small cleaning business named the Perfect Cleaners Enterprise.

In an interview with fijivillage News, Marama says she used to help her aunt with cleaning during the COVID-19 pandemic and that is when she realised that she could earn some dollars from the cleaning business to support the needs and wants of her children.

She says there were many social and financial challenges such as buying groceries for her family and also being looked down on as a single parent.

Marama hopes to overcome difficult times through this business and also to inspire other women in her community to overcome challenges.

She says in June of this year, she also received assistance from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which is an extra boost to her business.

Marama further says this will help her to start a new beginning with her small family.
