Samoan police confirm that two complaints were filed against Schwalger by his family members.

Schwalger has been released on bail but must sign in with police every week until his court appearance next month.

Lakapi Samoa has since responded to the reports with a brief statement but has not clarified whether he has been stood down from his position or not.

Lakapi Samoa says the matter has been reported to the police and they are fully cooperating with their investigation.

They say they will not be commenting further to protect the privacy and rights of all parties involved.

They add that while the investigation is ongoing, Lakapi Samoa remains committed to upholding the highest standards of conduct and providing a safe and respectful environment for all.
