A man in his 40s has tragically lost his life after being hit by a truck driven by a man in his 60s along Waisali Hill in Savusavu.
Police say the man was cutting grass yesterday when the accident occurred.
It is alleged that the driver was operating a truck loaded with logs when he lost control of the truck, causing it to veer off the road.
The driver and a second victim remain admitted at the Savusavu Hospital as investigations continue.
The national road death toll currently stands at 29 compared to 26 for the same period last year.
