A man was found dead this morning on an empty residential lot in Naodamu, Labasa and Police are currently at the scene, investigating the situation.
In an interview with fijivillage News, Leniana Dibe, who lives next to the spot where the body was found, says when they woke up this morning, they saw police officers already at the scene.
She says when she knocked off from work last night at around 11pm, some people were drinking at the lot and playing loud music.
Dibe says the area is an open space, but the owner is unknown.
Investigation continues.
