A man from Naila Village, Bau in Tailevu has passed away following a road accident along the Nadali Bypass Road in Nausori yesterday afternoon.
Police say the man in his 20s allegedly lost control of his car which veered off the road and hit a culvert.
He was rushed to the Nausori Health Centre and later transferred to the CWM Hospital where he passed away.
A 17-year-old boy who was also travelling in the vehicle is currently admitted in critical condition at the CWM Hospital while the second passenger who is a 27-year-old man escaped unharmed.
The road death toll currently stands at 10 compared to 20 for the same period last year.
