Man charged for allegedly causing death of a 6-year-old

A 48-year-old man from Navaqiqi, Savusavu, has been charged for allegedly causing the death of a 6-year-old student following a road accident in Yaroi, Savusavu on the 17th of December last year.

The man has been charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death.

44 road fatalities were recorded last year compared to 25 for 2021.
