Police have charged the man who was captured on video asking why he was handcuffed by two police officers in Nadi Town for failing to wear a mask in a public place.
The video which is five minutes long has gone viral on Facebook.
Police confirm the 37-year-old man has been charged with one count of serious assault.
He will appear in the Nadi Magistrates Court today.
