Man alleged to have murdered his brother in Lautoka last year remanded in custody

A 26-year-old man who is alleged to have murdered his brother in Lautoka late last year has been remanded in custody.

It is alleged that Jolame Vunisa lit a newspaper and threw it on his brother who was sniffing glue.

Police say it is also alleged that Vunisa had later locked his brother inside the room.

The victim was rushed to the Lautoka Hospital and was later transferred to CWM where he died after a few weeks.

The man has been charged with one count of murder and attempted arson.

The case will called again on the 1st of next month
