Residents of Malolo, Nadi have raised concerns about continuous daylight burglaries in their area.

Resident Anish Krishna says he has lost valuables including 2 laptops, smartphones, jewellery and more than $1,500 cash during a daylight burglary.

He says these burglaries have started recently and his neighbours have also been victims.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Krishna says after returning from the hospital he noticed that some louvre blades from his windows were missing and realised that his home had been broken into and his valuables were missing. Krishna says he then contacted the Nadi Police Station and the forensics team later came and dusted for finger prints.

However, he says there has been no response from the police.

Krishna also says other residents have experienced something similar as well and it is becoming unsafe to leave their homes unattended.

Meanwhile, Police say the Crime Unit is investigating the matter and investigators are trying to track down the suspects.
