Fiji Water Flying Fijians Captain Tevita Ikanivere has urged his teammates to cherish the rare opportunity to play in front of the home crowd, family, and friends.
Speaking ahead of their game today, Ikanivere emphasized how special it is for many players, especially those based in Europe, who often get only one chance to represent Fiji on home turf.
Ikanivere says today is the perfect occasion for the boys to perform in front of their families, friends, and loved ones as they will be playing for each other and reigniting that sense of brotherhood and teamwork to secure a win.
He says the weather conditions will not be a factor.
The Flying Fijians will take on Scotland at 3 this afternoon at the HFC Bank Stadium.
The curtain-raiser match will see the Republic of Fiji Military Forces take on the British Army team at midday.
Ticket prices are $150 for the grandstand, $100 for the gold section, embankment adult concrete is $40 while children under 12 are $15, grass is $25 for adults and $15 for children under 12.
The Flying Fijians will face Tonga in their next game on the 30th of August.
