More than 750 needy families who have been affected by the recent outbreak of COVID-19 have been assisted with food packs by Make a Difference-Fiji in the last five weeks.

These are people cannot go to work due to the containment zones and have been unemployed for some time now.

Another 60 packs will be distributed to families in Navua and Sigatoka this week.

Director Renu Singh says they have been receiving hundreds of requests from families around the country on a daily basis.

She says majority of them have been affected by the second wave of the outbreak and have reached out to them through their social media platforms.

Singh is also urging people to come forward and assist them so they can continue helping people who are struggling.

If you want to assist Make a Difference-Fiji in helping these families then you can contact Renu Singh on 9912379.
