20-year-old Maika Kamikamica

20-year-old Maika Kamikamica has been remanded in custody after allegedly being found with 2.602 grams of methamphetamine at Mead Road Housing in Nabua on Saturday.

Kamikamica appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Prosecutor, Sergeant Sharmila Lata told the court that Kamikamica should be in remand because he is also identified as one of the drug peddlers, and since meth is a hard drug, it is necessary for him to be remanded.

Magistrate Charles Ratakele has also advised Kamikamica to seek legal aid assistance regarding his case.

The matter will be called again on the 4th of next month.
