The Suva Magistrates Court has made an order that Joshua Aziz Rahman be produced in court on Friday in relation to the application where New Zealand wants to extradite him.

Rahman was convicted and sentenced to 23 years imprisonment with a non-parole period of 14 years imprisonment for being in possession of 39.5 kg of cocaine on 14th February 2019.

Rahman’s lawyer, Devanesh Sharma informed court today that it will only be fair that his client is present in court to listen to the proceedings.

Sharma also told the court that Rahman was ready to take a progressive approach in the case.

The case will be called at 2.30pm on Friday.
