Fijians are being empowered through the two-day Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Information Session and IGP Workshop at Suvavou House, which promotes collaborative information sharing.

During the workshop, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Cooperatives and MSMEs, Manoa Kamikamica stressed that the launch of the Small Offer Regulation which comes under the Access to Business Funding Act, unlocks more funding opportunities for small businesses.

He says this workshop will allow participants to gain a real understanding of the MSME cooperative movement, stressing the need for more advocacy based on testimonials.

The Minister highlighted that the government has spent about $160 million this year on the MSME schemes.

Kamikamica adds that there should be more story coverage of entrepreneurs in the market, adding that the escalation of the subject matter has significantly encouraged more Fijians to step forward.
