MGM is the new Southern Zone U17 Deans champion

We have started from nothing and have been through a lot, but through God, we have overcome the challenges of our lives.

This was highlighted by MGM U17 captain, James Liga after the side won the Vodafone Southern Zone Secondary School Rugby U17 title, defeating Marist 17-13 at the HFC Stadium.

Liga who hails from Gau, Lomaiviti, says they dedicate their win to their parents and all the students and teachers of MGM.

Lomary is currently leading Marist 7-3 in the Southern Zone U19 playoff.

In other results, Grammar won against Marist 15-12 in the U14 final, Marist defeated Grammar 17-5 in the U15 final, Marist beat Grammar 19-12 in the U16 final, Lomary lost to Naitasiri 20-0 in the Raluve U16 final, Marist U16 beat Grammar 19-12 and MGM beat Marist 17-13.

In the playoff results, Nasinu U14 defeated CMF 10-3, Nasinu U15 beat Gospel 17-0, Nasinu defeated Dudley U16 17-10, the Grammar U17 beat Nasinu 17-10 and Nasinu thrashing Sacred Heart 52-0.

All finals will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium and all the elimination rounds will be held at the Buckhurst ground.

The Eastern Zone Dean's final admission is $10 for the Grandstand, $7 for the Concrete stand and $5 for the Embankment.
