MGM girls Coa, Sanday, Kalouniviti and Rabaleira win gold

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School has had a bullet start in the 2024 Coca Cola Games as they have taken an early lead on the fijivillage medal tally.

Akanise Coa of MGM has won gold in the senior girls long jump, Domitila Naita of Adi Cakobau School has taken the silver while Helen Nabeca of Niusawa Secondary School from Taveuni is taking home the bronze.

MGM’s Leila Sanday has also taken the gold medal in the intermediate girls triple jump.

Losana Ann Marie Cakau of Suva Grammar settled for silver while Unaisi Draunibaka of ACS took the bronze.

Elizabeth Kalouniviti of MGM won the intermediate girls 1,500 metres.

Semati Rawata Koro of Naitasiri Secondary School won the silver medal while Katarina Naeva of Namosi Secondary won bronze.

Earlier today, Resina Rabaleira of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School won the first gold medal of the 2024 Coca Cola Games after winning the 1,500 metres sub junior girls division.

Losalini Kocawa of Napuka Secondary School settled for the silver medal while Anna Camasei of International School Suva took home the bronze.

Queen Victoria School’s Soropepeli Nakasava won the 1,500 metres sub junior boys gold medal.

Natabua High School’s Emosi Baledrokadroka is taking home the silver while Ratu Filimoni Nawawabalavu of Thomas Baker Secondary School from Navosa settled for the bronze medal. You can follow our coverage on our website and app, fijivillage.

The 100 metres heats are currently underway, the 400 metres heats start at 1.20pm while the 100 metres finals start at 3.55pm today.
