The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School Under 18 rugby team is stamping it's mark in the Vodafone Deans Southern Division after they beat Marist Brothers High School 26-15.

MGM kept their composure through the game and showed glimpses of why they won the under-17 category last year.

They scored the first try of the game which boosted the confidence level of the team, and their defence proved too strong for the team from Flagstaff.

This loss has put more pressure on Marist who now have 2 losses while Suva Grammar School who lost to Nasinu Secondary yesterday have suffered their second loss as well.

According to the Southern Zone President Master Rusiate Wadali, only 3 teams will qualify from the Southern Division to play in the National Deans quarter-finals.

The 5th and final round of the Southern Zone Competition will kick off this Saturday before the semi-finals next week to determine the top 3 teams that will qualify for the National Deans Competition in this year's format.
