Fiji born Isaac Lumelume is expected to sign with the Canterbury Bulldogs for the 2022 NRL season.

Lumelume was released by the Melbourne Storm so that he would be able to be closer to his family, especially his father who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer.

Lumelume has been training with the Bulldogs but is yet to sign with the club. However with Nick Cotric’s recent move back to the Raiders a space has opened up for the 23-year-old, with an expected contract to be drafted after Christmas.

The 2022 NRL season kicks off in March next year.
