Lomary Secondary School extend their lead as Makereta Adi wins another gold medal

Maria Saudromu of Ratu Latianara, Makereta Adi of Lomary Secondary and Maria Qaloula of Nuku Secondary School.

Makereta Adi of Lomary Secondary School has won her second gold medal at the Suva Zone II.

She won the girls 3,000 metres open at the ANZ Stadium this afternoon.

Maria Qaloula of Nuku Secondary School settled for silver while Maria Saudromu of Ratu Latianara College got bronze.

Lomary Secondary School now has an early lead in the girl's division.

They have four gold medals compared to one gold medal by defending champion, Suva Grammar School.

On Tuesday, Lomary Secondary School won three gold medals at the Suva Grammar School ground where the girls 1,500 metres finals took place.

In the Junior Girls 1,500 metres, Makereta Adi of Lomary Secondary School finished first.

Maria Ranadi of Lomary Secondary School got gold in the Intermediate Girls 1,500 metres.

Amele Likuwaqa of Lomary Secondary also won gold in the Senior Girls 1,500 metres.

Suva Grammar School got one gold through Fane Fifita in the Sub-Junior Girls 1,500 metres.
