Logo launched by the government in celebration of 50 years of Fijian independence

In celebration of 50 years of Fijian independence, the Government has today announced the official launch of the "FIJI50" logo, which will be made available completely free to businesses and organisations who wish to co-brand the logo on their products, services and channels.

President Jioji Konrote says this year, we celebrate more than a half-century of Fijian independence; we celebrate the resilience of our people to overcome challenges of any scale, as our 50th anniversary of independence has arrived alongside the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Konrote says rightly so, our people's health and well-being have been at the centre of our national planning adding instead of a usual large-scale launch event, they are looking to their partners in the private sector and civil society to help them carry this beautiful FIJI50 logo as widely as possible.

He adds that is why they have chosen to allow the FIJI50 logo to be used free-of-charge by businesses and organisations in Fiji.

Konrote says whether it's Facebook pages, product packaging, advertisements or other signage, they look forward to seeing FIJI50 proudly displayed across the country, as Fijian businesses and organisations step-up to help us make Fijian history.

In a statement the government says the FIJI50 logo carries an un-broken circle of striking Fiji blue, representing a young, modern, and forward- facing vision of Fiji's potential as Fiji embraces the next 50 years and beyond adding it not only symbolizes Fiji's proud past, but a future filled with hope, innovation, growth and prosperity.
