The infrastructure repair works and electrical upgrades at the Levuka Hospital are currently underway while the mortuary works in Levuka and Kadavu should be starting in 2 weeks.

This was highlighted by Permanent Secretary for Health, Doctor James Fong after concerns were raised to fijivillage News by residents in Ovalau and Kadavu.

Dr Fong says the issue was raised by their assessment team and they have taken action and are conducting repair works at the hospital.

He said they are still looking for spare parts for the mortuary cooler for the Vunisea Hospital mortuary in Kadavu and hopefully, the repair work will begin on the second week of next month.
