The 2024 Leadership Fiji team have been reminded by President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere during their visit to the state house that leadership is not about holding and executing commands but it is more about making a positive difference in the lives of others and uniting people towards a common goal.
Ratu Wiliame says they need to familiarise themselves with the essence of leadership and its qualities in their respective organisations.
He says a leadership role is a privilege in which they hold the power to effect change.
He also highlighted the importance of fostering productive and balanced interpersonal environments, especially in situations where altering discourse might be necessary.
He also encouraged mutual respect, honesty, and discipline among the members as fundamental principles to uphold in their leadership endeavours.
