The Lautoka Zone which begins today will be using photo finish in all race events to identify the winners.

This was highlighted by the tournament organiser, Avinesh Chand who says in previous years it was difficult for them to identify winners in short and middle distance races which sometimes causes disagreements between team coaches and managers.

Chand says more than 120 athletes from secondary schools around Lautoka will participate in the two-day event with Natabua High School and Jasper Williams High School ready to defend their zone titles.

Some of the athletes people can look out for are Nemani Mudreilagi and Ateca Tiko of Natabua High School who will participate in the senior boys and girls 100 metres, 200 metres and 4x100 metres.

The Lautoka Zone will be held today and tomorrow at Churchill Park.
