Opposition MP, Ketan Lal says the Proposed People’s First Party is led by Inia Seruiratu is a separate political entity and there is no official connection between this proposed party and Voreqe Bainimarama.

Lal says in recent weeks, he has been made aware of growing concerns in various communities, including in Savusavu, regarding claims being made during the collection of signatures for the Proposed People’s First Party.

He says it has come to his attention that there is public confusion stemming from the belief that Bainimarama is involved with or supports the Proposed People’s First.

Bainimarama has publicly stated that he is not associated with any political party.

Lal adds that out of respect for the truth, he calls on Inia Seruiratu to publicly and clearly state that Bainimarama is not associated with the Proposed People’s First Party.
