Lady Gaga has accepted her Artist of the Year win at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards with a special shoutout to her fiancé.

The “Abracadabra” singer took home one of the biggest awards and dedicated the victory to fiancé Michael Polansky, to whom she was engaged last year.

With that, Gaga — who headed into the night as the most-nominated artist with 12 nods — made her exit from the VMAs, telling the crowd that she had to hustle back to Manhattan to get to Madison Square Garden, where she is performing a show on her Mayhem Ball tour.

During her speech, she also dedicated the win to the audience.

Other early winners include Rosé & Bruno Mars, who won song of the year for their hit, "APT"; Tate McRae, who won song of the summer for "Just Keep Watching" from "F1 The Movie"; and Sombre, who who won best alternative for "Back to Friends."

Ricky Martin and Busta Rhymes were honored with two new special VMAs: the Latin Icon Award and the Rock The Bells Visionary Award, respectively.

Both music legends performed medleys of their best hits, bringing the audience to their feet.

Ariana Grande will present music icon Mariah Carey with this year's Video Vanguard Award.

During the awards pre-show, the "Queen of Christmas" won her first-ever VMA for best R&B.
