Lack of proper equipment, coaching consistency, and financial support remains Nanukuloa Rugby Union’s biggest struggles.

Elena Galo Nakavulevu highlighted this to fijivillage Sports, saying that in her three years of playing with the team, these are some of the things they face.

Nakavulevu says she has also has seen the need to improve the teams fitness, defence, and ball-handling skills as they prepare for the 2025 Royalty Ranadi competition.

Nakavulevu says the senior players continue to support and assist the junior players financially.

Despite these challenges, she remains hopeful and is looking forward to their match against Taveuni.

Nanukuloa will play Taveuni on Saturday.
