Labasa College beats Kamil Muslim 1-0 to win Secondary School IDC U19 title for the first time

Labasa College has won the Digicel Fiji Secondary School IDC U19 title for the first time after beating Kamil Muslim College 1-0 at Subrail Park.

Sakuisa Baleilautoka scored the goal for Labasa College.

They led 1-0 at half time and and kept their defense strong to maintain their lead.

Coach Ronil Ram says they kept the pressure on Kamil after their goal which resulted in Kamil making more errors.

He says they have always been the pride of the North because of their academic and athletic prowess and bow they have won in soccer after a beating a team from Ba.

In other finals earlier today, Lautoka Central College won the U15 title for the first time after beating Labasa College 2-1 in extra time and Labasa Sangam beat Vashisht Muni College 1-0 to win boys U17 title after 11 years.

Meanwhile, Xavier College successfully defended girls open grade title after beating Ba Sanatan College 1-0 in extra time.

They have won the title for the third time in a row.
