Two individuals who had uploaded videos on social media while driving and engaging in risky behaviour have had their licences suspended by the Land Transport Authority.

The individuals were summoned to undergo showcause proceedings pursuant to Regulation 30 of the Land Transport (Driver) Regulations 2000.

In a statement, LTA says while some may view such acts as entertaining, the reality is far graver as these actions place human lives at significant risk.

They have confirmed that these were two separate incidents.

The CEO, Irimaia Rokosawa says engaging in behaviours that deliberately flout traffic regulations and compromise road safety is unacceptable and LTA considers this completely intolerable.

Rokowasa further says that reckless driving for personal gratification or fun is not only irresponsible but also an utter disgrace.

He stressed that such behaviour will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
