LTA calls on Nadi residents to inform them about irregular bus services

LTA calls on Nadi residents to inform them about irregular bus services

LTA Board Chairperson James Sowane

With concerns being raised by residents in some parts of Nadi not having regular bus services and other public transportation, the Land Transport Authority is calling on people to inform them about the areas affected and the times.

LTA Board Chairperson James Sowane says according to their Act they have a temporary operator providing services to these routes, particularly during school terms which is their main priority.

However, Sowane is calling on people to inform LTA about the areas affected and the times, so that they can amend timetables to address these issues.

Sowane also says permits will be given to bus operators and licensed minibuses if needed once the assessments are done.

He adds they are calling on potential service providers to make submissions to provide services in those areas.
