Flagon Bekker has resigned as the CEO of LTA.

The LTA Board says the resignation is effective from Friday the 16th of December, 2022.

The Board says they were disappointed with his early departure, but they understand and respect the need for Bekker to attend to his matters.

Bekker started in his role on 4th July, 2022 and had been in close discussion with the Board on his resignation notice.

They say during his short tenure, Bekker had provided invaluable leadership to the Executive Management and staff with a focus on aligning internal processes towards the Authority’s digitization strategy and was passionate about the opportunities for E-Mobility and Decarbonization of Fiji’s road transportation sector.

The Board says they have appointed a Core Management Team upon Bekker’s departure to manage the operations of LTA for a transitional period as determined by the Board Chairman, James Sowane.

Sowane thanked Bekker for his contribution and assured that the Authority is in good hands with the Core Management Team.
