Swire Shipping Fijian Drua player, Simione Kuruvoli

Even though Swire Shipping Fijian Drua player, Simione Kuruvoli, has been sidelined for the rest of the 2023 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season, the 24-year-old has been assisting new players blend in well into their new environment.

Kuruvoli was ruled out of this season after undergoing a surgery on his shoulder.

He says he has been assisting players such as 18-year-old Philip Baselala with his ball handling skills and how to deal with pressure on the field.

The Kadavu native says the new players have blended in well with the older players and they have also proven their worth to be part of the Drua.

He adds that one of the most memorable moment playing for the Drua is when they played against the Highlanders in Suva.

The 24-year-old has also shown his interest to be part of the Flying Fijians squad for the Rugby World Cup in France.

Meanwhile, the Drua will meet Moana Pasifika at 3.35pm tomorrow.

In other matches, Crusaders will take on the Chiefs at 6.05 tonight, Waratahs will play Brumbies at 8.35 tonight, the Highlanders will take on the Blues at 6.05pm tomorrow, the Reds vs Hurricanes match will kick off at 8.35pm tomorrow, and the Western Force will take on the Melbourne Rebels at 11pm tomorrow.
