Residents of Koronivia Road Nausori have raised concerns as they face water disruption for the past week.

Some residents have stated that they are without water during the day as water only comes around 11pm.

However, they say the water pressure is very low.

Dinesh Chand of Lokia says since it's Ram Navami going on, it gets very hard for them to cook, and do their washing and cleaning for the prayer services.

He says there are no water carts provided to supply water and that their water tanks are empty as well now.

Chand says there are 5 members in their family and the stored water is not enough to cater to his family as due to low pressure they are not able to store much water at night.

A resident of Koronivia says she works 6 days a week and gets only 1 day off to do her general washing, however, due to no water and very low water pressure she is not able to do her washing and house chores.

She says she has to buy bottled water for drinking and buy paper plates and cups or takeaways from restaurants so that there are fewer dishes to wash and the stored water can be utilized for bathing and using toilet facilities.

The resident also says this has increased her budget and not everyone can afford this.

Meanwhile, we have also sent questions to the Water Authority of Fiji. They are yet to respond.
