Fiji Bati and Penrith hooker Api Koroisau is under NRL investigation regarding alleged COVID-19 breaches involving an unregistered female guest while he was in the NSW Origin bubble.

The NRL Integrity Unit has begun enquiries into the matter in which Koroisau allegedly brought a woman into NSW camp in the lead-up to and aftermath of Origin II in Brisbane in late June.

An NRL spokesman says the NSWRL has advised the NRL Integrity Unit of an alleged biosecurity breach after game two of State of Origin.

The spokesman says the NRL Integrity Unit is currently investigating the matter.

Koroisau did not play in game two but acted as 18th man and was a full-time member of the Blues squad before making his debut in the series finale.

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary on Friday morning said at this stage Koroisau was set to take his place against Brisbane on Saturday night despite the investigation but was unsure whether he would be allowed to play.
