More than 3,000 people have been assisted by the Korean Medical Team, who are providing free medical check-ups at the Nakasi Health Centre.

The team has been providing free medical check-ups at the Nakasi Health Centre for the past three days, and their outreach ends today.

The services provided by the Korean Medical Team include dental check-ups, eye check-ups, physiotherapy, general wellness and diabetic checks.

Nasinu Sub-Divisional Medical Officer (SDMO) Dr Vini Madanavosa says this is probably one of the largest medical outreach in the country as there was an overwhelming turn-out from people living along the Suva-Nausori corridor.

She says by 9am yesterday, they had registered more than 1,000 patients, and they had to stop registration by 10am as they needed to attend to the registered patients first.

Dr Madanavosa says they are truly grateful to the volunteer Korean Medical Team for their collaboration and the services provided in the past 3-days.

The Korean Medical Team attended to 703 patients on Monday, 1,120 on Tuesday, and more than 1,000 registered yesterday.
