Former teacher Kishore Kumar

Former teacher, Kishore Kumar’s trial will continue on the 16th and 17th of April as he earlier absconded bail and breached his bail conditions.

Kumar is charged with allegedly making false porn video claims on his facebook page, Kishore Kumar Publications against Lenora Qereqeretabua in 2020.

Kumar, who is currently in remand was trying to apply for bail today however the prosecution objected to this saying he had been missing since absconding bail last year, and Police only found him on January 25th because of a Domestic Violence Restraining Order.

The former school teacher says he is not getting his medication for his mental illness as well as his diabetic medication in remand which is why he is asking for bail.

Magistrate Seini Puamau noted down that Kumar is a flight risk, but told him that the court has ordered for a psychiatrist from St Giles Hospital to attend to Kumar which will be facilitated by the Suva Remand Centre, St Giles and Police.

Magistrate Puamau also ordered for a medical officer to attend to Kumar facilitated by CWM Hospital or the Ministry of Health.

She also told Kumar that he will have a fortnightly review on his bail application.
